The Benson’s Candlelit Castle Wedding – Hammond Castle Museum – Gloucester, MA Wedding Photographer

night wedding photography ocfMaria and Jon’s Hammond Castle wedding was a classy and stunning as it was sparkly, the whole castle was aglow with hundreds of candles making their special day as magical as ever!

Beautiful bride, Maria’s accessories from her gorgeous tiara to her sparkling shoes, were fit for a queen and perfectly on theme for her fairytale castle wedding.

The tall candelabras with pearls and rose petals cascading on every table exuded elegance and class…making the new Mr. and Mrs. Benson’s entrance to Hammond Castle’s grand hall for their reception a magical site!

For their last dance, the bride and groom sang “A million miles” to each other while all of their family and friends gathered round them in a big circle and then a final, giant group hug! A beautiful, heartwarming site and one that the bride considers her most special moment from the night as you’ll read below.

Congratulations Maria and Jon! Thank you for choosing me to capture your oh-so-beautiful special day!

Bride/Groom Questions

How did you meet?

We met at Fright Fest at Six Flags. We went through a haunted house together and I got so scared from it, I ended up fainting in Jon’s arms and he pulled me back up and carried me through

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

It would have to be the last dance. We ended up singing the whole song to each other and the DJ had everyone circle around us, cheering us. It was beyond magical.

What was your favorite detail?

The whole wedding! Everything from the lights, the food, the music, the venue, the dancing, having my friend sing me into the ceremony.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Try to plan everything ahead of time. We tried to book a hotel block a year before the wedding, and the whole hotel was booked by then. Can never be too prepared!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Buy 5 more hours so the wedding can go longer. It went by so fast and I honestly didn’t want it to end.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Japan for a month. Such a romantic place to go to in the winter, plus lots of love hotels for the honeymoon couple!
