hellenic center wedding

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Kelley and Bryan’s wedding at the Hellenic Center in Ipswich was as beautiful as it was fun! The weather may have been hot, but that didn’t stop the happy couple or their guests from having a perfect day of celebration.

Kelley and her mom have special matching tattoos on their feet, so they made sure to get matching shoes too:

Kelley and Bryan opted to have a special “first look” before the ceremony. I love capturing the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride in her wedding dress for the first time in an intimate setting!

Kelley and Bryan had sentimental popcorn favors that symbolized their proposal at a Gloucester movie theater. Check out their detailed proposal story from their engagement session for more.

Bryan’s sister made a sweet flower girl!

They tied a fisherman’s knot as a special part of their ceremony.

The musicians with Men In Black kept the party going all night long.

Thank you Kelley and Bryan for choosing me to photograph your wedding!

Introductions | No song for our introductions. We wanted to join the cocktail hour and allow our wedding party to be with their significant others, so we decided to keep everything simple. We were introduced to the venue after cocktail hour and went right into our first dance.
First Dance | Our first dance was then by Brad Paisley. We picked this song because it was the song that Bryan had put into the ‘previews’ with our photos when he asked me to marry him at the movie theaters. : )
Father/Daughter | I loved her first by Heartland. My dad picked the song and it was a surprise when we started dancing.
Mother/Son | I hope you dance by Lee Ann Womack. This song holds a lot of meaning to Bry and his mom, she used to sing it to him when he was younger when he was nervous about doing something.

Last Dance | Eddie Money TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT! whoo great last song, everyone was singing along and it was a nice throw back to our high school/college days. : )

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Everything was memorable! Everyone stayed focused on the LOVE in the wedding. Our band allowed our great uncle to sing Frank Sinatra for us and everyone at the wedding sand Happy Birthday to one of our Great Aunts! The groomsmen sang a song and the bridesmaid’s sang a song. Everything felt exactly the way it should and our guests were not shy to say the kindest things to us, such as “this is the best wedding we have ever attended”, “great party” and “you two were truly meant to be”. Everything about the day made us feel special and when planning it was important to us that we include our guests and make everyone feel like they were special, because they all are to us.

What was your favorite detail?
Our favorite part of the process was including everyone in the wedding. A family friend married us and stayed focused on our love; he kept the speech a surprise and the tying of the knot. We loved being surprised! The bridesmaid’s took 2 hours of the wedding morning to help complete 30 flower arrangements (we bought flowers at Market Basket and Trader Joe’s the wedding morning), while the groomsmen put together the bike, the red ladder and stacked the wedding favors with place cards.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Keep it simple and stay relaxed. Remember It’s all about the LOVE and celebrating with everyone. Your guests are special so make sure you make them feel included in your LOVE.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
One of our groomsmen was a little tipsy before the wedding, so he really started focusing on drinking water and eating. Well, he was kind enough to continuously walk around the room filling everyone’s water cups and handing out food to the entire wedding party.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
We would change absolutely nothing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We planned our honeymoon for the month after our wedding. We knew a lot of family and friends would be in town for the wedding and we wanted to spend as much time with them as possible before they left. They were kind enough to fly up and help us celebrate, so we wanted to make sure we stayed around to thanked them. We also have more to look forward to now! <3 We will be doing our first all inclusive vacation to Riviera Maya!!
