I met Ariane & Bob when I did their engagement shoot last fall, and I looked forward to doing their wedding ever since! Ariane & Bob were married on one of the most beautiful days of the summer, and they couldn’t have picked a more perfect location for their nautical-themed wedding than The Elks at Bass Rocks, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean!
Ariane & her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite at The Elks. (A neat set up, because she could peek down at her groom arriving for the ceremony downstairs)
Ariane was not only one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever worked with, but she is also one of the most kind-hearted people I’ve ever met!
(I think her flower girl agrees with me…)
A vibrant bouquet (designed by Audrey’s Flowers) to match this strikingly beautiful bride!
A perfect view of Thatcher Island through the arbor at the ceremony
Ariane’s Mom & Dad walked her down the aisle together.
The elated groom seeing his bride for the first time, walking down the aisle…
The rest of the day, the bride and groom kept beaming with joy and their love for one another was so evident!
I love how the ocean breeze made Ariane’s gown flow so gracefully!
Love the drama of this *dip & kiss* moment in black & white
I pinky promise, they’re OFFICIALLY Mrs. & Mrs!!
We had a lot of fun taking group portraits with this bridal party….
A reversal of rolls, if you will…(this was THEIR idea and I loved it!!)
Back inside, the reception was in full swing…
All of the nautical details from the lobster trap card holder, the local sand and sea shells in each table’s center piece to the starfish wine stopper & sand dollar favors were seafairingly superb!
And I can’t forget to add, the amazing Cake by Barbara with two Lobstas in Love as the topper! 😉
The bride having a moment with her adorable ring bearer!
Time for Ariane & Bob’s first dance as husband and wife…
The father of the bride & mother of the groom were “dancin’ fools” as well!
Ariane’s father even got up and sang a bluesy song with the band afterwards!
Bob’s brother & best man Dorsey, and Ariane’s maid of honor, Michelle gave hilarious & heart-warming speeches!
After a delicious meal by Creative Catering, EVERYBODY got to boogying out on the dance floor!
Ariane’s family traveled from Brazil to be there for her special day!
How many Dobias family members can we squeeze onto one staircase…? A LOT!
Three generations of Dobias women
A stunning silhouette for a lovely couple…
Thank you for including me in your special day! I enjoyed capturing it!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
– The ceremony was so wonderful. It was such a build up of emotions and the moment of seeing Bobby for the first time was absolutely magical.
What was your favorite detail?
– I loved the way the flowers looked so beautiful with the bridesmaids dresses. The color scheme turned out just the way I planned.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
– Take in every moment because when people say it goes by quickly, they aren’t lying!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
– Probably when my dad asked the band to let him sing. It was embarrassing and hilarious at the same time.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
– I forgot to throw my bouquet which I really wanted to do, so if I could go back that is the only thing I would change.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
– We went to Kennebunkport, Maine for a few days. Bobby and I plan on going somewhere tropical this winter 🙂
