Can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year than with the Kaiser’s rockin’ New Year’s Eve wedding! The frigid temps didn’t stop the beaming bride & groom Shara and Dan from having the time of their lives and celebrating with their closest family and friends.
Loved the details Shara chose, like the lace in her gown, and her functional and classy fur shrug.
The bride and groom got ready at a house on Eden Road in Rockport, with a view of three iconic Cape Ann lighthouses.
Shara and Dan shared a special first look before the ceremony.
But before the champagne got poppin’ the couple braved the cold and we got some amazing photos by the water in Rockport. They were true New Englanders, taking the majority of their photos OUTSIDE right on the water! And boy oh boy was it worth it!
I can’t think of a more beautiful spot to start your wedding day than with a perfect view of Twin Lights.
We went back to the house to grab some more family photos before heading off to the ceremony.
The ceremony and reception were held at Bass Rocks Golf Club.
I loved how Shara chose different shades of purple to compliment their winter white wedding: from the beautiful floral arrangements done by Celia’s Flower Studio (and centerpieces by the bride’s family!) right down to her fabulously bold shoes!
Instead of having separate Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances, Shara & Dan chose to do a family dance together to “A life that’s good” by Lenon & Maisy. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place!
Everyone danced into the New Year wth smiles on their faces!
Shara had the inspired idea to spell out “love” with sparklers. It was my first time doing this at a wedding, and I know all her bridesmaids were freezing, but this was so much fun and I was so excited to see how the photos came out!
*Note to future brides: I’d love to do this again sometime! 😉
Cheers to you Shara and Dan! Thanks again for letting me capturing your magical New Year’s Eve wedding!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Last dance, everyone circled around us and we all sang and danced together. Dan played air guitar.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Try to take most of your pictures before the ceremony. It makes for a longer day but then you, your bridal party and your families are able to spend more time at the cocktail hour/reception. It goes by so fast, taking pictures before helps you to enjoy more time with your family and friends.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
I wish I had known our cash bar was actually a cash bar. No credit cards excepted. That would have been an important detail to tell my guests.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
