Nicole and Nick had a beautiful wedding on the seaside of Cape Ann, with their wedding ceremony in downtown Rockport and their reception at The Cruiseport in Gloucester.
While the bridal party was preparing for the big day, Nick sent over flowers and some sweet cards that had Nicole and her bridesmaids laughing and crying.
Nicole’s wedding day ensemble featured her great-grandmother’s wedding handkerchief, which she carried with her all day, wrapped around her bridal bouquet. Nicole said it was one of her favorite details from the day; see below to read more from the bride and groom’s perspective.
The ceremony took place at Saint Joachim’s in downtown Rockport.
Before heading to the Cruiseport for the reception, we stopped at The Headlands in Rockport, a beautiful outcropping looking over Bearskin Neck. The day started off rainy, but there wasn’t a drop after the morning, and the fog helped create some unique, ethereal photos:
….And can I just say the members of the bridal party were all troopers for climbing out on the rocky, uneven ground of The Headlands, in very high heels! Great job ladies 😉
Nick proposed to Nicole on this very bench at The Headlands! Making this a very special and meaningful location for their portraits.
Stunning floral arrangements created by Celia’s Flower Studio, complimenting the equally stunning bride.
Back at The Cruiseport, everything was decorated with a fun and classy nautical style. Great job to the ladies from Unveiled Events and Celia’s Flower Studio for making this special evening come to life!
Nick wanted to be a pirate when he was little, and has remained a big fan ever since, so the wedding party surprised the couple with a rousing rendition of “A Pirate’s Life for Me,” complete with pirate costumes:
After one of Nick’s groomsmen caught the garter toss and Nicole’s sister caught the bouquet, Nicole’s family decided to stand guard during the next step:
