We’re adding a new member to our Brianna Cox Photography team: a new, tiny photo assistant.
That’s right… I’m pregnant!
My husband Peter and I are expecting our first child in February 2017, and we couldn’t be more excited!
We heard about Buttonwood Farm‘s “Sunflowers for Wishes” festival in Griswold Connecticut and thought it would be the perfect place to take our pregnancy announcement photos. Symbolizing our growing family and love for photographing the beauties of nature, it was too perfect to pass up. Flowers have always been one of my favorite things to photograph, so when we heard Buttonwood Farm had OVER 14 ACRES OF SUNFLOWERS and were selling bouquets of said sunflowers to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation, we knew we had to go!
We were also very lucky to have my father-in-law Steve and mother-in-law, Gigi come along with us and help take pictures of the two of us, when needed. Peter and I had a vision of how we wanted the pictures to look, I adjusted all of my camera settings and Steve patiently took the shots we wanted and Gigi helped by holding light bounces and and our props. (Peter took the shots of just me and I took any of the detail/flower shots you see! It truly was a group effort!)
The “Mommy’s Assistant” onesie was our first baby purchase after we found out I was pregnant. Check out Click and Blossom for more adorable photography related baby outfits and gifts!

Not to worry, this won’t affect any of my planned photo shoots or weddings this year, other than the fact that my belly will be sticking out more and more as the year goes on, under my camera equipment. 😉 I will be taking some time off after the new year (other than taking lots and lots of photos of our new baby, of course)
