Allie & Joel’s wedding earlier this July was probably the hottest day of the Summer so far, but all the sweat was more than worth it! This wonderful couple stuck it out in the heat, and didn’t let the weather make their day any less special or any less beautiful. Not for a second. They were so happy and relaxed from start to finish, and we were able to get some great photos!
Allie and Joel had their ceremony at the Stage Fort Park Gazebo, a beautiful park right on the ocean in Gloucester, MA.
(I loved the *Do not consume bubbles detail on their refreshments sign below!)
Lila made such a sweet flower girl!
Note the subtle handshake between Allie’s father and Joel as he hugs his daughter:
Allie & Joel both wrote their own vows…Joel’s read his from his smartphone 😉
Lila peeking through the gazebo at me during the ceremony…Allie’s beautiful bouquet by Celia’s Flower studio

The new Mr. and Mrs!
Best dressed wedding guests definitely goes to these dapper gentlemen:
A sweet moment between Allie & her Mom after the ceremony
From there we went straight to the reception venue at The Elks at Bass Rocks. You can’t ask for a more pristine backdrop than the back shore of Cape Ann.
The Bridal party keepin’ cool 😉
I love this set of Allie. What a breathtakingly beautiful bride!
She rocked some amazing heels too!
Instead of a guest book, Allie and Joel had each guest sign rocks. I thought that was so neat!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
A: Pulling up to the park and seeing the huge crowd of people standing around the gazebo waiting for us!
J: When she showed up. On time.
What was your favorite detail?
A: Everyone looked so damn cute and put together!!
J: The band.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
A: People will have fun whether you nail every detail or not, and you will too, so don’t sweat the small stuff.
J: Anything rented for a Saturday event actually needs a two-day rental, as most places are closed Sundays.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
A: Joel’s vows.
J: Lila continuing to throw petals during the entire ceremony.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
A: It would’ve been great if it were a few degrees cooler. And my dress should’ve been hemmed – we both stepped on it a lot.
J: 20 degrees cooler. Also, we should’ve eaten more of the food.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A: We’re still planning for one next winter, we’ll go somewhere warm!
J: And dog friendly.
